Deputy Head Teacher 

The School Governors are seeking  to appoint a Deputy Head Teacher with a proven track record of excellent classroom practice who is child centred and will support our school values.

We are seeking an ambitious and energetic professional with experience of leading teams, monitoring teaching and learning, and with experience of successfully leading improvement and raising standards. 

Our multi-cultural and diverse community is highly valued by our families and staff and as a school we expect everyone to actively contribute to and promote our strong, positive ethos.

Primary Class Teacher (Year 5)

Nursery Teacher

The Schools Governors are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join our team in September.

Duties and responsibilities

This is a class-based position and will involve but is not restricted to the following:

  • Teaching all areas of the foundation stage as per the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
  • Being responsible for your own group of ‘Key Children’.
  • Making observations, assessments and recordings of children’s development.
  • Planning activities in response to children’s next steps.
  • Maintaining an exciting and absorbing learning environment for all children in the class.
  • Interacting and supporting children in a positive way to foster their enthusiasm for learning and secure progress.
  • Working in partnership with parents to secure the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Commitment to continue to develop as a professional.

The role entails contributing to a high-quality caring environment for children, creating a friendly and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally through individual attention and group activities. Duties will include working with the children to meet the requirements of the EYFS framework and working as part of the team. To be considered for this position you must hold a minimum nursery teaching qualification, such as an NVQ level 4 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development. At least two years’ experience in Early Years settings is desirable and the role is subject to Disclosure & Barring Service clearance. Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation stage is essential, as is a commitment to excellence.
