Statement - Manchester Terror Attack Monday 22nd May 2017

Posted on: 23 May 2017

Following the attack last night in Manchester, which police are treating as a terrorist attack, Hounslow Jamia Masjid would like to express it's deepest sympathy to those affected by this terrible crime. Out thoughts are with the victims, families and loved ones of those affected.

We ask the community, both Muslim and non Muslim, to continue to display the values it has always upheld. Of support in times of distress and unity in the face of attempts at division.

Unfortunately with the current climate, there is an expected backlash against the Muslim community so we urge extra vigilance in your movements and to report any crime to the police.

Shafiq Rehman
